Sunderland area court round-up: Two admit attacking women and another sentenced for criminal damage

Robert Armstrong, 38, of Ryhope Street South, Ryhope, Sunderland, was was ordered to complete 60 hours of unpaid work as part of a community order and pay £160 compensation and £85 court costs after he admitted causing criminal damage to a window on November 28 last year in Shiney Row and breaching bail conditions on March 23.

Mark Dagg, 41, of Mount Road, Sunderland, received a four-month jail sentence, which was suspended for a year, after he admitted one count of failing on January to comply with a community requirement of a previous suspended sentence imposed for two counts of theft. The new sentence includes a 7pm-7am curfew until July 17.

Daryl Dakers, 25, of Hylton Bank, South Hylton, Sunderland, received a nine-month jail sentence, which was suspended for 18 months, after he admitted failing on January 14 to comply with a community requirement of a previous suspended sentence imposed for possessing a class B drug with intent to supply.

Bradley Metcalfe, 25, of The Glade, Newton Aycliffe, was ordered to complete 80 hours of unpaid work as part of a community order and pay £85 costs and a £95 victim surcharge after he admitted assaulting a woman and causing criminal damage to a picture frame in Sunderland on April 21.

Michael Stephen Parker, 24, of no fixed address, received a 15-week jail term, suspended for a year, after he admitted assaulting a woman in West Boldon on April 22 and breaching a restraining order by refusing to leave an address in West Boldon on the same date. He must also pay £132 compensation.
