A SON has been charged with taking out loans in the name of his father.

Stuart Wormleighton is alleged to have taken out £1,300 in payday loans in Sunderland in 2011 and 2013 in the name of his father, also Stuart.

Wormleighton, 32, of Heath Croft, York, was due before Sunderland Magistrates’ Court to answer two charges of fraud, but did not attend.

District Judge Roger Elsey adjourned the case until January 30.
