Son appears in court accused of slashing his mother’s face

STEVEN Hanson has appeared in court today accused of slashing his mother’s face.

The 21-year-old was remanded in custody by Sunderland magistrates, over the charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to Michelle Hanson, 38, in Argyle Square, Ashbrooke, on Friday.

No application for bail was made.

The case was transferred to Newcastle Crown Court on June 13.

Hanson had been living at Dunholme Road in Newcastle, but originates from Sunderland.
