A serial flasher had been put behind bars for exposing himself to lone women on late night buses.
Gary Norman told a teenage student "that is for you, gorgeous" after masturbating beside her on the upper deck of the number 21 from Gateshead in August.
Three days later he targeted a teacher travelling upstairs on the number 56 from Newcastle in a similar, shocking way before asking her the time.
Both women said they were shocked and sickened by what they saw.
Newcastle Crown Court heard the 44-year-old former navy seaman has a history of such behaviour and has served prison sentences in the past.
He has a total of ten previous convictions for sexual offending on his record, including multiple exposures.
Norman, of no fixed address, was convicted of two charges of exposure in relation to his bus behaviour after a trial at the magistrates court, which he refused to take part in.
Both victims gave evidence about their ordeals and have said they now feel nervous about travelling alone at night.
Judge Robert Adams sentenced Norman to ten months behind bars with 10-year sex offender registration.
The judge told Norman: "Clearly you are someone who has significant difficulties, it is causing great upset to everyone you expose yourself to.
"CCTV was recovered and you were swiftly identified by the police, no doubt because of your history.
"You obviously targeted women on their own at night on the bus and to that extent they were vulnerable."
Jonathan Devlin, defending, said Norman, who served in the royal navy, plans to seek assistance from a veterans association.
Mr Devlin said Norman has no recollection of his outrageous behaviour and has a history of mental health problems.
He added: "He wasn't taking his medication and was drinking to excess."
Mr Devlin said Norman is now taking his medication, seeking help for his mental health difficulties and has no access to alcohol.
