Northumbria Police is investigating after the bike was stolen from Woodlea Close, off the A182 Houghton Road, in Hetton, at about 4.15pm yesterday, Thursday, January 2.
A force spokesperson said: “It was reported that the motorcycle had briefly been left unattended when it was stolen by a teenager wearing a dark tracksuit and a hat.”
