A MAN has denied murdering his parents in a shooting at their home.

Stephen Seddon, also known as Nic, is accused of the murder of Bob, 68, and Patricia, 65, in Sale, Manchester, on July 6.

The 46-year-old also faces charges of attempted murder, which relates to an incident in March, when the BMW they were in was being driven by Seddon plunged into a Manchester canal.

Seddon, of Benevente Street, Seaham, spoke to confirm his name and enter his not guilty plea to all charges when he appeared before Manchester Crown Court.

The businessman and father-of-three was remanded in custody until his next hearing on November 2.

Two men and a woman from Seaham who were arrested earlier this month remain on bail.

The 26-year-old man questioned on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder, and a 55-year-old man and a 36-year-old man held on suspicion of perverting the course of justice have been bailed until October 18 as inquiries continue.
