COMMUNITIES are being called on to help net burglars after a spate of break-ins.

Over the past few weeks, houses in Chilton Moor and Shiney Row have been broken into during the day.

Officers are now urging residents to come forward and help them to catch the thieves.

Inspector Lisa Musgrove said: “Information we receive from communities is vital in helping us catch criminals.

“It doesn’t matter how insignificant they think the information is, it helps build the bigger picture and could prove crucial in our enquiries.”

Anyone with information can contact police on 101 ex 69191 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
