Northumbria Police was called to investigate after a clip was uploaded following Saturday’s disturbance.

A force spokesperson said: “We are aware of a video circulating on social media showing a group of schoolgirls fighting in the Princess Anne Park, Washington.

“We have identified all parties involved and will be speaking to the individuals and their parents regarding the incident.”
