Police release image of cash wallet in search for delivery vehicle robbers

POLICE investigating a robbery in Sunderland have released a picture of a cash wallet identical to the one stolen by offenders.

Detectives are asking people to be on the look out for the wallet, which was stolen during the incident, and may have since been discarded after the cash was taken from it.

The robbery happened at just after 11pm, on Monday, March 24. A delivery driver was approached by two men, one of which was carrying an iron bar, while at a depot on Sunrise Enterprise Park, on Ferryboat Lane.

The 44-year-old victim fell to the ground dropping the money wallet which the offenders made off with.

Anyone who may have spotted the wallet or has information on the incident are being urged to come forward.
