Police release CCTV as part of mobile phone fraud investigation
Northumbria Police is investigating a string of fraud offences in relation to mobile phone contracts.
The force was contacted by a Hexham man who reported mobile phone contracts being taken out fraudulently in his name.
An investigation was launched following the report, on Thursday, February 19 this year, and officers found an offender had made a number of similar applications for mobile phone contracts and online purchases using fraudulent details.
Police have now identified a man they would like to speak to in connection with the investigation.
He was in the Carphone Warehouse store at the Galleries shopping centre in Washington at the same time that one of the suspected fraudulent actions took place.
He may have valuable information that can assist officers with ongoing inquiries.
The man, or anyone who knows him, is asked to get in touch via the Tell Us Something page of the police website quoting log 1194 190220. Alternatively, you can email [email protected]
