Police release CCTV in hunt after arson attack on Sunderland flat

POLICE hunting Sunderland arsonists have released CCTV images of men they want to trace.

As reported in the Echo, a man was trapped in a blazing flat and neighbours had to flee their homes after the incident on Wednesday October 9 2013.

The blaze began in at a flat above Good Fillers Sandwich shop in Hylton Road at 11.30am.

No one was injured during the incident.

Two 31-year-old men arrested at the time of the incident will receive no further police action.

Officers are keen to speak to the people pictured who may have information to assist the ongoing investigation.

Anyone who recognises the men is asked to contact police on 101, extension 69191 quoting reference number 386 09/10/13 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
