Police investigating as Houghton Chinese takeaway burgled for the second time in four days

Northumbria Police have launched an investigation after MayHo Chinese Takeaway in Houghton was burgled twice in the space of four days.

Officers say that the latest incident at MayHo Chinese Takeaway on Sunderland Street in Houghton happened on Tuesday, January 26 at around 10.45pm however it is unknown if anything of value was taken.

Police are urging members of the public to get in touch with them if they have any information relating to either incident.

A Northumbria police spokesperson said: “We can confirm we are investigating a burglary at MayHo that took place at about 10.45pm on Tuesday evening. Enquiries to identify those responsible are ongoing.
