DRUGS paraphernalia was seized from two homes after they were searched in a dawn raid.
A house in Grants Houses and another in Easington Colliery were targeted by police.
A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of abstracting electricity and theft of a gas meter at the home in Grants Houses.
He has been bailed pending further inquiries.
Sergeant Paul Footes, of Easington Neighbourhood Policing Team, said the operation was launched following information passed on to officers from the villages.
He added: “The address in Grants Houses has been a source of nuisance to the community with disorder at or near to the house in recent weeks.
“We will now work with the landlord to ensure that things improve.
“It has been a high-impact household and the police, as part of the Safe Durham Partnership, are committed to tackling these problem homes.
“We encourage the community to continue to talk to us and help us to identify the issues, such as this one, that matter to them.”
The raids took place last Wednesday.
