Police hunt two women who racially abused dog walker in Sunderland park

TWO women who racially abused a man as he walked his dog in a Sunderland park are being hunted by police.

Officers were called to reports that the 31-year-old victim had been verbally abused as he walked his dog in Mowbray Park on Thursday, May 7.

The incident is believed to have happened between 2.30pm and 2.35pm, where two women shouted at the man in an unprovoked attack.

Police are now appealing for help from the public and have released descriptions of the two women in the hope someone can identify them.

The first was in her mid 20s, slim, between 5ft 7in and 5ft 9in tall, and has short dyed blond hair.

She also has a piercing to each side of her nose, bottom lip and several in her ears.

She was wearing blue skinny jeans and had a small brown dog on a lead.

The second woman was about the same age, 5ft 11in to 6ft 1in tall, of average build, with brown eyes and long brown hair.

She was wearing a waist-length jacket and black leggings.

Police are also keen to trace a man who was walking with the two women at the time, but did not take part in the abuse.
