Police continue probe into suspected drugs farm after hundreds of cannabis plants found

Northumbria Police attended an address in Mill Terrace, Houghton, following a tip-off about a drugs farm in the street.

On Tuesday, November 26 a police spokesman confirmed to the Echo that inquiries are continuing and that no arrests have yet been made.

Commenting on the incident on Monday, November 25 a force spokesman said: “At about 5.20pm on Saturday, November 23 police received a report of a possible cannabis farm at an address on Mill Terrace.

Police were pictured in attendance at a property in the street on Sunday, November 24 following the tip.
