A DRIVER who fled from police has been given six months by a judge to behave himself.

Michael Price, 31, of Lowther Avenue, Chester-le-Street, drove away at speed from a petrol station after police asked him to stop.

He was arrested after a police dog found him hiding behind a wall, Durham Crown Court heard.

Price admitted dangerous driving on June 25 last year and was told by Judge Stephen Ashurt his sentence will be deferred until February.
