“The club will do it’s best to fix the fields in time for teams to return in the New Year.”

The club first became aware of the damage on Christmas Eve and a car was left abandoned on one of the pitches.

A Go Fund Me page, which was set up by Washington Deaf FC after the first incident, has gained traction again as the club hopes to raise £8,000 to fence all the pitches in the hope of stopping future acts of vandalism.

More than £1,500 has been raised so far and to donate click here.
