Pensioner interviewed under caution after reports dog walker was attacked in Washington park

A pensioner has been interviewed by police following a reported assault on a dog walker, which left the victim with a broken arm.

Officers received a report that a man had been attacked in Albany Park, Washington, while out walking his dog earlier in May.

He was reportedly confronted by another man – described at the time as a white, in his 60s and of slim build – who had a white and brown ‘terrier-type’ dog with him.

A police spokesman said on Friday, May 29: “A 68-year-old man has been interviewed under caution. Anyone with information who has yet to come forward is asked to contact us via the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of our website quoting log 343 030520.”
