A MUM and daughter have admitted being part of a shoplifting gang who sold stolen goods on Facebook and eBay.

Dawn Bainbridge, 46, and Claire Bainbridge, 21, took clothing and property from high street stores in Sunderland and then advertised them online.

The pair, of The Crescent, West Rainton, pleaded guilty to a joint charge of conspiracy to steal at Newcastle Crown Court yesterday.

Bainbridge snr also admitted seven charges of thefts of hundreds of pounds of goods from shops in Sheffield during a spree in February.

The mum is already awaiting sentence for thefts from stores in Peterlee.

Judge John Evans ordered pre-sentence reports in the case of both women and remanded them in custody in the meantime.
