A SUNDERLAND man who allegedly attacked a police officer has had his court case adjourned.

David McBeth, from Bevan Avenue, Ryhope, is said to have assaulted the officer on Monday.

He is also charged with using threatening behaviour. The 24-year-old’s solicitor asked Sunderland Magistrates’ Court to adjourn the case so the results of medical tests on McBeth could be obtained.

Magistrates adjourned the case to June 17 and released him on bail.
