Wayne Thomas Hutchinson, who also visited his Sunderland victim’s address without permission, was imprisoned for 16 weeks after a court decided the “offence was aggravated by the defendant’s record of previous offending”.

He was additionally ordered not to “send, deliver or post or attempt to send, deliver or post any form of communication” to a named city address under the terms of a restraining order.

Hutchinson, 54, of Park Road, Stanley, County Durham, was also ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge.
