Man set to appear before a crown court judge next month charged with rape

A man has appeared in court in South Tyneside accused of rape.

Malcolm Hancock, of Low House Farm Cottage, East Boldon, is alleged to have committed the offence in South Tyneside.

Hancock did not enter a plea to the charge when he appeared at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court.

The 54 year old was granted bail to appear at Newcastle Crown Court on June 24 on condition he allows his home address to be used for court correspondence.
