Man’s ear bitten in Sunderland nightclub attack

A MAN had his ear bitten while on a night out in Sunderland.

The victim, a 27-year-old man, was in Passion nightclub, in Holmeside, when he was approached by a group of men.

One of them sunk his teeth into his ear.

The victim was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital for treatment on the injury but was later discharged.

Officers are now looking to trace those responsible and want witnesses who were in Passion between 3am and 3.30am on Saturday to contact them.

They are also keen to speak to a man who dropped the victim off at the Royal after picking him up from the Park Lane area of Sunderland city centre.
