A MAN cut his head open after falling onto Metro lines.
It is believed the man tumbled off a platform at East Boldon Metro station shortly after 6pm on May 7.
The man, who is thought to be in his 40s, was helped back on to platform four by two men who had seen him fall.
Paramedics treated him at the scene for a seven centimetre wound to his head, but he did not need to go to hospital.
It is not thought the Metro service was affected.
