Man denies attempted murder after 32-year-old suffers head injury

A MAN has appeared in court and denied a charge of attempted murder.

Karl Pascoe is accused of leaving a 32-year-old man with a serious head injury after an attack in the street on December 23 last year.

The 28-year-old was charged following a disturbance in Woodland Terrace, Concord, Washington, in the early hours of the morning which left the alleged victim fighting for his life in hospital. Pascoe, of Stridingedge, Blackfell, Washington, yesterday pleaded not guilty to a single charge of attempted murder.

He will be tried by a jury in June and was granted conditional bail in the meantime.

The alleged victim was in Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary in a critical conditions after the incident. No update on the man’s condition was given.
