Man bailed after break in at Sunderland player Sessegnon’s Ponteland home

A MAN questioned following a break into to a Sunderland player’s home as he holidayed as been bailed as investigations continue.

The 25-year-old was arrested on suspicion of burglary following the theft of a Range Rover and BMW from the house of Stephane Sessegnon in Ponteland while he was away.

The Range Rover was later recovered, but a television and jewellery were also taken in the raid.

The man has since been released on bail until a date in August as police continue inquiries.

The burglary happened between Tuesday, May 21, and Monday, June 3.

Northumbria Police is also investigating a break in to the home of Phil Bardsley while he was away.

Two vehicles were also taken, with the theft reported last Friday.

Police have said they do not think there is a link between the two crimes and have appealed for anyone with information to call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
