Making Metro threats and stealing seven times from the same store: Sunderland cases heard by magistrates

Joseph Hind, 24, of St Aidan’s Avenue, Sunderland, was banned from driving for a year, fined £80 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting drink driving on August 7.

Connor Walker, 23, of Newton Street, Dean Bank, Ferryhill, was fined £40 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting using threatening or abusive words or behaviour at South Hylton Metro Station, in Sunderland, on August 7.

Antony Neil Graham, 30, of Coronation Close, Sunderland, was ordered to wear an electronic tag as part of a community order and to pay £500 compensation after he admitted causing £4,294 criminal damage to a fire panel and lead flashing at The Bridges shopping centre on June 16.

Adam Colin Michael Sayers, 32, of Hudson Road, Sunderland, received a 16-month jail term, which was suspended for 24 months, and was ordered to pay £1,131 compensation after he admitted seven counts of stealing £1,360 of confectionary and alcohol from the Harbour View Service station between September 16-22.

Bairaj Toor, 47, of Fair View, West Rainton, received a 10-week jail term, suspended for 24 months, was banned from driving for 30 months and ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drink driving in Sunderland on August 15.

David Jenkins, 35, of Goodwood Road, Grindon, Sunderland, was banned from driving for 36 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drink driving on August 15.

Reece Aaron Coats, 20, of Bink Foss, Blackfell, Washington, received eight penalty points on his licence, was fined £300 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting driving without insurance or a valid licence on August 20.
