LATEST NEWS: Young boy attacked for mobile phone

A NINE-YEAR-OLD boy was pushed to the floor and robbed during an attack.

The youngster was walking through the archway in Barmston Village centre when a man came up to him and pushed him over.

He then searched the boy’s pockets before taking off with his mobile phone.

The boy was not injured during the attack.

The robber was in his 20s, of slim build and was about 5ft 9in to 6ft tall with dark skin.

He was wearing a dark hooded tracksuit top, dark bottoms and dark coloured shoes.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anything or have any information about the robbery, which took place at about 12.30pm on Good Friday.
