LATEST NEWS: Three more arrests in parent shooting

POLICE have arrested three more people after the shooting of a businessman’s parents.

Stephen Seddon – also known as Nic, 46, of Seaham, was arrested after the bodies of Bob, 68, and Patricia Seddon, 65, were found at the family home in Clough Avenue, Sale, in July.

He has been charged with murder and attempted murder

A Home Office post mortem examination revealed both had died from gunshot wounds.

Now a 49-year-old man, 39-year-old woman and 33-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and section 16 firearms offences.

All three have been bailed until 27 November 2012.

A 26-year-old man arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder, a 55-year-old man and 36-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice have been bailed pending further inquiries until 29 October 2012.

Police are also investigating an earlier incident in which Mr Seddon’s car – in which his parents were travelling – plunged into a canal.
