A JURY in the trial of two brothers accused of killing George “Geordie” Dagg was today continuing to consider its verdict.

Jess Ryan, 25, stabbed the 53-year-old dad to death outside his Plains Farm home in Sunderland in June.

Prosecutors claim he had taken his 21-year-old brother Jack Ryan with him as back-up.

Jess Ryan, of Toronto Road in the city, claims he only intended to nick Mr Dagg with the knife and meant him no real harm.

Jack Ryan, of nearby Toronto Square, denies he was even at the scene.

After just over three hours of deliberation yesterday, jurors did not reach any verdict and were sent home for the evening.

The deliberations resumed today.

Both men deny murder.

The trial continues.
