A DATE for the inquest into a murder victim has been set.
David Wilson, 49, was found dead at his home in Southwick Road, Sunderland, on Sunday, December 14.
Grandad Mr Wilson, who was originally from Hetton, had only moved into the flat three weeks before he was killed.
The former special constable’s daughter Tara, and his brother Ian, last week made an emotional appeal for witnesses to come forward.
A 34-year-old man remains on police bail pending further inquiries after being arrested on suspicion of murder.
Detectives are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen an alleged cashpoint robbery at the ATM in Southwick Green just hours before Mr Wilson’s body was found.
An inquest into Mr Wilson’s death is due to take place at Sunderland Coroner’s Court, at the city’s Civic Centre, on Tuesday, March 10.
Anyone who has information regarding Mr Wilson’s death should call police on 101 ext 69191, quoting reference number 583 14/12/14 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
