Police have released these CCTV images of two vehicles - a silver Mitsubishi Shogun Pajero and a grey Peugeot 307 Estate - used in a shooting in Sunderland last week.
A total of 20 people have been arrested as part of an ongoing operation following an incident in Craigshaw Square on Monday, September 12, in which a window was shot at with a firearm.
Those arrested, 19 men and one woman, remain on police bail as inquiries continue.
The two vehicles which were used have been recovered by police and detectives are now appealing for anyone who may have seen them either separately, or together, in the early hours of Monday, particularly in the area of Hylton Castle, to contact them.
Superintendent Brad Howe said: "Police enquiries are ongoing into this matter and are expected to be continuing for some time to come.
"It remains a very active enquiry we want to make it clear that we will not tolerate the illegal use of firearms in our communities.
"We continue to ask for help from the community, we'd particularly like to hear from anyone who may have seen either or both of the vehicles in the area of Hylton Castle during September 12."
Anyone with information relating to the investigation is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 quoting reference 106 120916 or alternatively they can ring the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
