GAS cylinders were removed from a derelict building after it was attacked by arsonists.

Firefighters were called to the disused farm building off Lilywhite Lane, in Easington Lane, at around 8am yesterday.

They forced their way into the structure and found the fire in one of its rooms, removing butane cylinders from another area as a precaution.

Firefighters say the blaze was started deliberately.
