FOUR people have been arrested after a disturbance in Sunderland.
At about 11pm police attended the Houghton Comrades Club following reports that a number of people had been involved in a disturbance.
During the incident one man suffered puncture wounds to his body and received hospital treatment before being discharged. At this stage it’s not clear how those injuries were caused.
Three people, two men aged 53 and 46 and one woman aged 38, have been arrested for affray, while a man aged 34 has been arrested on suspicion of wounding. They are currently on bail pending further enquiries.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who were either inside or outside the Comrades Club who saw the disturbance to contact them as soon as possible.
