Four arrested after man seriously injured in attack

A MAN was suffered back and abdominal injuries after at an attack outside a house in Washington.

The incident happened at 10pm on Wednesday November 20 outside an address in Thornton Court, Glebe in Washington.

Police said there was an altercation and a 46-year-old man suffered injuries, which are described as not life threatening.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he is receiving treatment.

Police have arrested and bailed four people on suspicion of wounding with intent to commit grievous bodily harm. They are two men aged 43 and 33, and two women aged 51 and 28.

Officers are appealing for witnesses, anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious is asked to contact them.
