Fishing equipment stolen from Sunderland car

FISHING equipment was stolen from a car in Sunderland.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the equipment was taken from the Audi A4.

The theft happened between 4pm and 5pm on Friday, September 27, when the car was parked at Brookland Road, just off Hylton Road.

Offenders went into the vehicle, which was not locked, and stole fishing equipment worth hundreds of pounds, including a Shimano black and silver fishing reel.

They also took a green Trakker rucksack, green Aqua waterproofs, green Chubb jacket and black Cybershot camera.

The theft was reported to police who are now appealing to anyone who might have been offered the equipment.

Officers are also appealing for witnesses and are reminding motorists to ensure their vehicles are secure and anything of value is removed.
