A drunk woman threw a glass after being attacked during a fight over a man in a Houghton pub.
The incident, caught on CCTV, saw Michelle Dover dance with a man in The White Lion on April 3.
Footage shown at Sunderland Magistrates’ Court showed how the man then lifted up his top and the pair dancing together.
However, things took a more sinister turn when 43-year-old Dover moved in to kiss him, and was attacked by another woman.
Prosecutor John McGlone said Dover was struck by the female and knocked to the ground. “She then threw a glass in her direction of the woman,” he added.
Dover was arrested and told police she had little memory of the incident having had about nine drinks.
Dover, of Tower Court, Easington Lane, had previously been convicted in absence of the offence.
She asked magistrates to set the conviction aside so that she could enter a guilty plea and be sentenced on that basis.
Ian Cassidy, defending said: “You can see what happens, everyone appears to be fairly jovial.
“Miss Dover seems to move to give him a kiss and he puts his arm around her and they move towards the door.
“A female slaps her out of the way. She picks up something white and throws that in the direction of the female. The female then pushes her to the ground.
“If Miss Dover had stopped there she wouldn’t be before you today, but she picks up a glass from the bar and throws it. She accepts she’s done it.
“Why the other female has not been spoken to by police, I don’t know .”
Dover was released on unconditional bail and will be sentenced on November 25, pending a report being prepared by the probation service.
