Drink driving, cannabis possession and criminal damage - 13 cases heard at Sunderland and South Tyneside Courts this week

Jason Thomas King, 28, of Gladstone Street, Sunderland, was given a 12-month conditional discharge after he admitted assault. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.

Arren Warrender, 20, of Bankhead Terrace, Fencehouses, was given a 12-month conditional discharge after pleading guilty to two charges of criminal damage. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.

Gavin Thomas Cook, 37, of Steephill, Sunderland, was fined £40 for speeding. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge and three penalty points.

Wayne Jordan, 25, of Station Road, Seaham, was fined £40 for not meeting insurance requirements. He was also ordered to pay a £30 surcharge.

Bernadette Large, 56, of Leechmere Road, Sunderland, pleaded guilty to speeding and failing to give information to the police. She was fined £169 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Angela Randle, 51, of The Parks, Chester-le-Street, was fined £1,003 after being found guilty of failing to provide driver information to the police. She was ordered to pay costs of £315 and a surcharge of £100 and was given six penalty points.

Courtney Toni Allsopp, 22, of Thornton Court, Glebe, was told to carry out 20 hours of unpaid work after admitting breaching a suspended sentence order. She was also ordered to pay £140 costs.

Anthony Michael Cocking, 51, of Argyle Street, Sunderland, pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis and amphetamine. He was given an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £30 costs and a £21 surcharge.

Kevin Rowland, 40, of East Moor Road, Sunderland, pleaded guilty to criminal damage. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £150 in compensation and a £32 surcharge.

Ian Pearson, 31, of Park Avenue, Silksworth, pleaded guilty to stealing number plates and driving off without paying for petrol. He was given a 12-month community order and told to pay £133 in compensation, £85 costs and a £90 surcharge.

Kevin Matthew Sayers, 33, of Franklin Street, Millfield, Sunderland, pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis. He was given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £21 surcharge.

John Thomas Campbell, 52, of Fulwell Road, Sunderland, admitted driving with excess alcohol and without insurance. He was given a four-week prison sentence, suspended for 24 months and banned from driving for 12 months. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £90 surcharge.

William Gregson Templeton, 38, of Trinity Street, Sunderland, admitted two charges of possession of drugs. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.
