AN electrician has been banned from the roads for 40 months after being caught drink driving a third time.

James Stoker’s silver Peugeot 106 was stopped by police in Hylton Road at 12.40am on June 1, Sunderland magistrates heard.

The 27-year-old, of Larkfield Crescent, Shiney Row, was found to have 52 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath – the legal limit being 35.

He admitted drink-driving, his third conviction since 2009, and was also fined £393.
