THIS moped was among a hoard stolen by thieves in a string of break ins.
Northumbria Police has issued the photograph as officers investigate the thefts, which happened between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
Five cars parked at Silksworth Cricket Club were broken into and property including tools, CDs, a mobile phone, sat nav, generator and DAB Radio were stolen.
The photograph shows a red Raleigh pedal moped that was also stolen from one of the vehicles.
It is believed the break-ins may be linked to attempted burglaries to three sheds in nearby Southwold Gardens in Silksworth, and a burglary to a shed at Scarborough Road.
Inquiries into are continuing and officers are asking anyone with information to contact them.
Neighbourhood Inspector Lisa Laverick said: “The bike is quite distinctive making it quite difficult for whoever has stolen it to sell on, however, that doesn’t mean they won’t attempt to.
“We’re releasing the photograph in the hope that someone may recognise it whether they’ve been offered the bike for sale or have seen someone with it.
“If anyone has been offered the bike for sale or knows where it is I would urge them to get in contact with us.”
The appeal comes as police continue to tackle thieves and burglars across the force as part of Operation Soundwave.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191, for the attention of the Sunderland West neighbourhood Policing Team, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
