THE daughters of murder victim John Hall have paid tribute to their ‘loving’ father.

The body of John Hall was found in Marks Lane, West Rainton on Sunday at about 7pm. He was reported missing from his home Burn Terrace, Shiney Row, on Monday.

His two daughters Bethany and Shelby today spoke of their grief in a statement today.

“This is a living nightmare for us, it is the hardest and most heartbreaking thing that we will ever have to deal with. He was our dad, he brought us up and made us into who we are today,” said the girls.

“Death is such a terrible thing but murder is something that we will never be able to accept or come to terms with. Inside our dad was a gentle man and would do anything for anyone. No-one, and certainly not our dad, deserved this.

“He was a loving son, brother, dad, grandad and uncle and a true friend to many. We know that he will be looking down on us and one day we will all be together again. Until then we will keep you in our hearts. Love you forever dad.”

The Hall family have asked that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time and do not try and contact them. The media are thanked for their cooperation.

Those with information are asked to call Northumbria Police on 101 ext 69191 or ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
