A MAN involved in a vicious group attack on a victim in his own home has appeared at Durham Crown Court.

Scott Lennon was set upon in his home in Blackhall on March 30 by three men. He was kicked, stamped on, punched, and attacked with a pair of scissors. Mr Lennon suffered wounds to the face, thigh and body.

Kenneth Brown, 21, of Fifth Street, Blackhall Colliery, has admitted Section 20 wounding, causing Mr Lennon grievous bodily harm.

Brown also admitted two charges of common assault and arson, both committed in the early hours of August 10.

In two unrelated incidents, Brown assaulted a woman and threw a petrol bomb at a car, causing minor damage as it failed to ignite.

Brown and co-accused in the attack on Mr Lennon, Dylan Longstaff, 20, of Tweddle Crescent, Blackhall, will be sentenced during the week of December 3.
