CCTV image of man police want to speak to after high value alcohol thefts in County Durham

Police have issued CCTV images of a man they are looking for after a series of shop thefts.

Durham Constabulary officers want to speak to him in connection with a series of thefts in which high value alcoholic drinks including Grey Goose vodka and Moet champagne were taken.

Thefts have taken place at shops across County Durham, including Peterlee, Spennymoor, Chester-le-Street and Stanley.

The latest incident, on Friday, January 17, took place at the Asda store in Surtees Road, Peterlee, in which a suspect took £227 worth of spirits before leaving the shop through a fire exit.

The man detectives want to speak to is described as being in his late 20s and having a receding hairline.
