Two men have been arrested after cars were damaged in Sunderland in what police described as a “dispute”.
Northumbria Police have launched an investigation after the three cars were damaged at about 7pm on Monday night.
Shortly afterwards, officers discovered two more cars on fire in Rotherfield Road and Seaton Lane, which they believe may have been used in the attack on the other vehicles.
Superintendent Sav Patsalos, of Northumbria Police, said: “We believe this is a dispute between people who are known to each other .
“Inquiries are ongoing to take the necessary action against those involved.” Two men – aged 31 and 21 – have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to damage.
