Thieves broke into a house in Stainton Grove, Seaburn Dene, between 11.30pm on Friday, August 16, and 7.30am the following day, and stole a number of tools and a blue Peugeot 307 which was parked outside the house.

The license plate is V6PKW.

Between 1.30am and 5.20am on Monday, burglars broke into a house in The Westlands, Barnes, and items, including a Toshiba laptop and a Samsung Galaxy S3 mini mobile phone.

They also took the keys to a VW Polo that was parked outside the address and made off with the car.

The black Polo’s licence plate is NC07 UCF and it is still missing.

Inquiries into the two burglaries are ongoing.

Officers are not ruling out the possibility that they could be linked.

Homeowners are being urged to ensure that doors and windows are locked overnight, and that keys for cars are stored away from front doors and kept somewhere safe.

Anyone with any information into the two burglaries is asked to contact police on 101, extension 69191.
