A DOZEN cars have been damaged after they were attacked with spray paint.

The damage was caused between 8pm and 8.30pm yesterday on Edward Burdis Street, Southwick.

Police are appealing for witnesses and in particular they want to speak to an older man described as having light coloured grey ‘scruffy’ hair who was seen in the area last night.

Acting Inspector Dave Cole said: “We’re asking for help from the community to find those responsible for this mindless damage which is both costly and inconvenient for the driver affected.

“I’m appealing for anyone who may have any information about this incident to contact police straightaway.”

Police are carrying out house to house enquiries and extra officers are on patrol in the area.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101, extension 69191, quoting log number 1246 of 22/09/14 or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
