Car and jewellery stolen from house in Washington

An appeal has been launched by police after a car and several items of jewellery were taken from a house in Washington.

The burglary happened at a house in Fatfield Park, Fatfield, between 4.45pm and 8.10pm on Sunday March 20.

Burglars got into the property through an open window.

Diamond rings, a wedding ring, a rose gold ring, gold chains, a purple necklace, a charm bracelet and gold hooped earrings were among the items stolen.

A Kruggerrand Medallion, silver ring with a turquoise stone and a black Whitby jet pendant were also taken.

A green Skoda vehicle with the registration NV12 DSE was stolen.

Officers are carrying out enquiries into the burglary and are appealing for information.

Anyone who has been offered similar items for sale or knows where any of the items may be is urged to get in contact.
