A MAN who quit drugs has appeared in court after cannabis was found in his home.

Police searched Darren Rowe’s home in Sunderland’s Argyle Square and found a small amount of the class B drug.

He admitted possession of cannabis at Sunderland Magistrates’ Court.

Defending the 24-year-old, Heather Bolton asked if sentencing could be adjourned to coincide with other court proceedings pending against him.

She said: “He tells me he has not used cannabis for a number of months and had just left it in the cupboard. He is drug-tested fortnightly.”

Magistrates adjourned the case until Wednesday, June 11.
