BACK-FROM-THE-DEAD canoeist John Darwin has started yet another new life after quitting his home in a former pit village.

The dad-of-two, who faked his own death to claim £680,000 life insurance, settled in Easington Colliery after he was released from prison after a six-year jail term.

Now the ex-prison officer has moved to a two-bedroomed bungalow in Seaton Carew, the location of his crime.

It is thought ther 61-year-old complained it had been too difficult to climb the stairs of his former miner’s house because he needs a hip replacement.
