A MAN who suffered head injuries during a street attack has been discharged from hospital.
The 26-year-old was injured after a brawl broke out between a small group of men in High Street West, in Sunderland city centre on Wednesday afternoon.
He was taken to hospital, where he had six staples put into the back of his head.
Kevin John Palmer, 37, of Eversby Crescent, Carley Hill, appeared at Sunderland Magistrates’ Court, charged with wounding with intent.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Newcastle Crown Court on November 17.
